Trips page
The Trips page opens on your own car, with your total distance, the energy you've used, and your average efficiency underneath it. From there you can go two ways: Recent trips for your latest drives, or Insights for what all that driving adds up to.
Recent trips
- 1For each trip: where you started and ended, how long it took, how far you went, and how much energy you used (kWh)
- 2Tap a trip to see the exact route you took, drawn on the map
- 3Your lifetime average efficiency — we use the same lifetime figure your car's dashboard shows, which is more accurate than calculating from rounded trip distances
This list comes straight from your car. Your 7X only keeps its most recent hundred or so trips, so how far back it reaches depends on how much you drive: a few weeks if you're out every day, a couple of months if you're not. Turning on Insights is what keeps them from rolling away.
The average efficiency we show is worked out from these actual trips, adding up the energy and dividing by the distance. It should closely match the Avg cons. figure on your car's own trip screen.
Insights: turn it on first
Insights is opt-in, and it's off until you switch it on. The first time you open it you'll get a screen explaining what it does and asking permission, because it works by keeping a record of your trips — and trips are location history, which is personal. Nothing is stored until you tap "Turn on Insights", and you can turn it off again anytime in Menu → Settings → Permissions.
There's a practical reason to say yes: your car only keeps its most recent trips (roughly the last 100 — about a month for most drivers, fewer days if you drive a lot), and once a trip drops off that list it's gone. With Insights on, MyZeekr keeps your trips so your history builds up instead of rolling away. Your start and end locations are encrypted before they're stored, and we don't keep your routes — the map you see when you tap a trip is fetched fresh from your car each time.
One part works without opting in: the Lifetime figures come from your odometer, so they're there straight away. This Month and This Year need your kept trips, so they'll look thin at first and fill in over the following weeks.
What Insights shows you
- 1Your impact — trees planted, CO2 avoided, and petrol litres not burned, worked out from the driving you've actually done. Swipe between the three cards, and switch between This Month, This Year, and Lifetime.
- 2Your numbers — distance driven, your real efficiency, your real-world range at that efficiency, and how much of your energy came back from regenerative braking.
- 3Milestones — badges as you pass things like 1,000 km or 10 trees' worth of CO2, with a progress bar to the next one.
- 4Your driving — your personal bests (most efficient trip, longest trip, best regen) plus the patterns in how you drive: the speed range where you're most efficient, what a typical trip looks like for you, your busiest hours, and weekday versus weekend.
- 5Share — the share icon makes a card with your car, your distance, your impact, and your personal bests.
If the real-world range figure is blank, open Car spec and pick your variant (75 kWh, or one of the 100 kWh versions). We can't tell them apart from the car's data, so choosing it once fills that in.
About the impact numbers
These are estimates, not lab measurements. We compare your actual energy use against a typical petrol car (around 8 litres per 100 km) and account for the carbon in your local electricity grid, so the figure is what you avoided by driving electric rather than a full lifecycle number. Tap the info button on the page to see exactly how each one is worked out.
The same text lives inside the app: open the menu (top-right) → How to use.
