Stargate Studio
Stargate Studio writes your own message, or one of 27 built-in light patterns, across the Stargate light curtain on the front of your 7X. You'll find it on the Home page under Extras. It's for the AWD Performance trim only, because only that trim has the curtain — on other trims the row stays greyed out.
Before you start
- 1Install the MyZeekr Curtain app on your car's screen through App Lab, the same way you added the Camera app. It's on the same download page.
- 2Open it once on the car and enter your companion key. Find it in MyZeekr under Security → Companion App — the same key that pairs your camera.
- 3On the car's screen, open Light Studio and turn OFF the Drive light. If Drive is on, the factory light show takes over the moment you move and replaces your message.
- 4The first time you open Stargate Studio you'll be asked to read and accept its terms. It's a decorative display, not a signal to other road users, so keep what you show lawful where you drive.
Writing a message
Type on your keyboard, choose a size, then tap Send to my 7X. Give it up to about 40 seconds to appear on the curtain — that's normal.
- 1It's one line, left to right. A centre Zeekr logo splits the curtain into a left and a right half, so leave a gap in the middle for it. The orange band in the preview marks where the logo sits.
- 2Use spaces to position your words: leading spaces push everything to the right.
- 3Sizes 1 to 5 run small to large. Bigger text fits fewer characters, and each size shows its limit — for example up to 26 characters at size 1.
- 4Letters and numbers always work, plus the quick symbols ♥ ★ ◆ •. Other keyboard symbols may work too: if a character is accepted as you type, it can be shown.
- 5Keep it friendly. Rude words in English and Malay are automatically swapped for nicer ones.
- 6Turn your phone sideways on this screen for a big, true-to-life preview of the whole curtain.
Built-in patterns
Under Designs, tap any of the 27 patterns to load it into the preview, then Send. Heartbeat, Morse, Flames, DNA Helix, Radar, Pac-Man, Dino Run and more. One per page, drawn the way the curtain will draw it.
How long it stays
Whatever you set stays on the car until you change it. It survives locking and unlocking, driving, and even the car powering off and back on. The car remembers it, not the phone — you can close MyZeekr, and the car keeps painting your message every time it wakes.
See it in the app
The On your curtain card at the top of Stargate Studio shows exactly what the car last painted, when it painted it and why (sent, repainted after waking, restored after a restart), plus whether the car is online right now. It refreshes on its own while the screen is open, so you can check from anywhere without walking out to the car.
While driving
Your message keeps showing while you drive, as long as Drive is off in Light Studio. You can change it while the car is moving, too: send from the phone and it paints within about 40 seconds, no need to stop. Let a passenger do the typing — the driver's eyes stay on the road.
Restoring the normal lights
On the car, open Light Studio, turn Drive back on, and choose any factory design. Your custom message clears. Clear in MyZeekr only empties what you're typing on the phone — it doesn't wipe the car.
If it won't send
After you tap Send, the status line tells you the truth: "Waiting for the car to paint it" while the car is awake, or "Your car is asleep or offline" if it isn't. Asleep is fine — the design is saved and paints by itself when the car wakes, and the "On your curtain" card at the top shows what the car last painted and when.
"Couldn't send" usually means the car is offline or the Curtain app isn't running on the car's screen. Open MyZeekr Curtain on the car, check it shows it's listening, and try again. Stargate Studio also needs an active MyZeekr subscription.
The same text lives inside the app: open the menu (top-right) → How to use.
