Live Camera
Look through your 7X's 360° surround cameras from anywhere. You'll find it in the Security page, right under Sentry Mode.
This one needs the MyZeekr Cam companion app running on your car's own screen (installed through App Lab). Without it there's nothing for the app to connect to, and you'll see it try to wake and then time out.
Getting around
- 1The top shows all four cameras at once — front, rear, left and right. Tap any one to blow it up on its own.
- 2The car underneath is a picker: tap the arrow at the front, rear, left or right to enlarge that camera. "View all 4 cameras" brings back the four-up grid.
- 3FLAT / RAW, top-right: FLAT straightens out the fisheye so lines look natural; RAW is the original wide, curved lens view. Your choice.
- 4The download button saves whatever you're looking at straight to your Photos.
Waking the camera
Parked with Sentry off, the camera goes to sleep to save battery. Opening Live Camera turns Sentry on to wake it, and it stays on while you're watching. When you leave, Sentry stays on for about 15 more minutes and then turns off on its own — so a quick camera check doesn't leave your security armed all day.
If you'd rather Sentry stay on, turn it on yourself from the Security page — a manual arm stays until you turn it off, and pauses Auto Sentry for 24 hours. The camera's own wake is the only thing that expires on its own.
You might see a note on the Security page: "Automation paused — manual control". That appears only when you switch Sentry on or off yourself — waking the cameras never triggers it.
When you're away from home and Auto Sentry has already armed, the camera is already awake, so Live Camera connects straight away with no waiting.
When it won't wake
Your car won't arm Sentry when its battery is below 20 percent. That's the car protecting itself, not a fault. Because waking the camera relies on Sentry, Live Camera can't wake a car that's below 20 percent — let it charge a little and try again.
Flash and Horn
The two buttons either side of the camera bar flash your lights, or flash the lights together with the horn, to help you find the car in a car park. Same rule as the Controls page: your car has to be locked for these to fire, and if it's unlocked you'll get a nudge to lock it first.
Your footage stays yours
The camera images are never kept on our servers. They pass straight through to your phone while you're watching, and only the shots you choose to save land in your Photos.
The same text lives inside the app: open the menu (top-right) → How to use.
